Why Numu

Restaurant tech was built for chains. You don't have a procurement department, a cabling budget, or a year to onboard.

Numu replaces the entire register stack with software that lives on the device already in your pocket. Accept payments, take table orders, run the kitchen display, manage delivery integrations, and see your numbers — without a $1,200 terminal, a two-year lease, or a tablet farm.

The Suite

One app.
The whole restaurant.

Most operators piece together four tools that don't talk to each other. Numu is the suite — POS, KDS, back office, online, all built together.

Numu vs. the terminal stack.

We're not naming names. The pattern is the same across every legacy terminal POS — hardware to buy, software to subscribe to, contracts to sign.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do I really not need any hardware?
Correct. Numu runs on any iPhone (XS or newer) or modern Android. Tap to Pay on iPhone is built in — your customers pay by holding their card or phone to the back of yours. If you also want a kitchen screen, an iPad on the wall handles KDS. No terminals. No card readers. No leases.
What does it cost?
2.72% + $0.15 per in-person card transaction, 2.9% + $0.15 for online. No monthly subscription, no statement fee, no PCI fee, no early termination clause. Payout fees apply separately — standard payouts (2 business days) are free; instant payouts carry an additional 1.5% fee for same-day deposit.
Will my existing customers be able to pay?
Yes. Numu accepts all major cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, contactless EMV, and cash. For online and delivery, customers pay through delivery apps or your own Numu-hosted ordering page.
How fast can I be up and running?
Most operators take their first card within 20 minutes. Download Numu, verify your identity (Stripe Atlas), add a menu, and start selling. Importing from another POS takes about a day if you want to migrate menus and reports.
What about delivery integrations?
Delivery apps sit alongside your in-store orders in one Manage Orders view. New tickets fire kitchen-side automatically; no tablet farm.
Is it safe?
Payments are processed by Stripe — PCI DSS Level 1. We never store card data on your device. Everything else lives in our SOC 2-aligned cloud back office.
Can I run multiple locations?
Yes. The back office handles unlimited locations, menus, staff and reports. Switch between locations in one tap.
What if I want a card reader anyway?
We support the Stripe M2 reader for high-volume bars and quick service. Same software, same rate.
